Pangea Organics, a certified organic skincare line, currently seeks a Brand Ambassador / Natural Beauty Advisor to represent our brand for six weeks (June 11 – July 22) in San Francisco, CA.

We are seeking an outgoing individual with skincare knowledge who is smart, responsible, and motivated to represent & demonstrate the Visia™ Complexion Analysis in one Whole Foods Market location in Potrero Hill. This temporary, part-time position will support a passion for delivering legendary customer service to the store and its shoppers.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate the Visia™ Complexion Analysis and provide product recommendations • Educate shoppers about the Visia™ skin care reports and recommend Pangea Organics skin care products based on individual results and skin challenges
• Perform mini-facials and/or hand facials
• Conduct Product Sampling/Demonstrations • Educate store personnel and consumers on the Pangea Organics Brand • Responsible for maintaining a timely and accurate schedule • Report Daily Activity to appropriate personnel

Requirements:

• Licensed esthetician (preferred but not required) • Strong sales skills • Experience in natural skin care • Strong oral and written communication skills • High level of follow-up, availability and responsiveness • Positive, contagious sprit and energy • High level of organizational skills • Time management skills • Collaborative team member passionate to learn and teach • Self-Motivated

20 hours per week for a period of 6 weeks (June 11 – July 22) are required. This position is as an independent contractor and not as an employee for Pangea Organics or Whole Foods Market.

Skincare manufacturer achieves organic certification for complete product line

BOULDER, Colo. (April 22, 2012) - Pangea Organics announced today - in honor of Earth Day - that the company achieved organic certification for its complete product line of body, skin and lip care products. The company debuted 12 USDA certified products at Natural Products Expo West on March 8th in Anaheim, California. The remaining 18 items achieved NSF certification on April 3, 2012.

Pangea has always created products using natural and organic ingredients. Achieving certification is just a symbol of our commitment to organic purity. A total of 12 items achieved USDA certification: Lip Balms (3), Facial Toners (3), Bar Soaps (3) and Body Oils (3). The remaining 18 items achieved NSF/ANSI 305 certification: Facial Cleansers (2), Facial Creams (3), Facial Mask, Facial Scrub, Eye Cream, Balancing Oil, Hand Soaps (3), Shower Gels (3), and Body Lotions (3).

Certification assures consumers that our products contain a minimum of 70% organic content, with all remaining ingredients meeting the strict criteria required under the USDA and NSF standards. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) certification is widely recognized amongst consumers because it is commonly used for food and beverages.

Unlike organic foods and beverages, the USDA has not created specific organic standards for formulating and labeling personal care products that contain organic ingredients. NSF/ANSI 305, the American National Standard specific to personal care products that contain organic ingredients, has established the materials, processes, production criteria and conditions that must be met in order for a personal care brand to call itself organic. Under this standard, all personal care products making organic claims (other than in ingredient lists) must contain a minimum organic content of 70 percent. Additionally, formulas may only contain ingredients and involve manufacturing processes that have gone through rigorous evaluation by a scientific panel and have been approved by NSF.

Our Pyrenees Lavender and Egyptian Fennel Lip Balms are USDA Certified Organic and are designated "Organic," meaning 95% organic content or greater. Our Bar Soaps (3), Body Oils (3), Facial Toners (3), and Italian Red Mandarin Lip Balm are USDA certified with the "Made with Organic Ingredients” designation which requires 70% organic content or greater. All other items, Facial Cleansers (2), Facial Creams (3), Facial Mask, Facial Scrub, Eye Cream, Balancing Oil, Hand Soaps (3), Shower Gels (3) and Body Lotions (3) are NSF/ANSI 305 certified with the "Contains Organic Ingredients” designation which requires 70% organic content or greater. This standard requires the same organic content % as the USDA “Made With” designation, but has broader ingredients allowances specific to personal care.

With the recent launch of four new products, new FSC-certified packaging, and the debut of 12 USDA certified organic products, this is an exciting time for Pangea Organics to return to Expo West after a six year hiatus. Pangea has always created products using Natural and Certified Organic ingredients. In our commitment to organic purity, we are now working to certify each and every product in our line.
