JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Representative
Department: Sales
Reports to: National Sales Manager
PURPOSE:
- To increase Pangea’s retail sales and to provide superior customer service
in his/her territory.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- • Increase sales volume in his/her territory by expanding existing customer
accounts and by opening new accounts.
- • Provide sales and merchandising recommendations at the store level to
increase the store's sales of Pangea Organics’ products.
- • Maintain Pangea Organics’ product displays at each store in his/her Territory.
- • Conduct in-store demonstrations in his/her Territory.
- • Conduct consumer product training seminars in his/her territory.
- • Provide product training to store employees.
- • Implement promotional events at the store level.
- • Establish and maintain contact with decision makers in regional
buying organizations.
- • Provide feedback to the National Sales Manager on product-related and
sales-related issues.
- • Provide sales and service expertise to new and existing Pangea Organics’
customers.
- • Prospect and open new accounts.
- • Maintain Pangea Organics’ product displays in a professional and
attractive manner.
- • Provide merchandising recommendations at the store level.
- • Introduce new products to buyers.
- • Conduct public seminars to promote sales of Pangea Organics’
products to consumers.
- • Ensure that no account has outstanding credit issues.
- • Communicate proactive action to owners if an account has an outstanding
credit issue.
- • Take inventory of products on hand at an account.
- • Write replenishment orders as appropriate.
- • Whenever possible, make sure all Pangea Organics’ products are
merchandised together to increase the awareness of the brand.
- • Maintain excellent team-oriented working relationships among all employees
at Pangea Organics
- • Attend trade shows and special events upon request by National Sales Manager.
- • Observe problems with finished goods and packaging. Report observations
to the National Sales Manager.
- • Complete all required reports, especially Demo Reports, Expense Reports
and Weekly Activity Reports, in a timely manner.
- • Ensure that all communication is clear, accurate and timely.
- • Comply with the Pangea Organics’ Travel Policy.
- • Over night travel is required approximately one to two nights a week
in order to enhance and bolster customer and Territory Manager relationships
- • Requires standing up to 7 hours per day and lifting up to 50lb
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- • BA/BS Degree in business or fashion merchandising or similar discipline with
at least three (3) years of related, progressively responsible sales experience
or additional relevant experience in lieu of formal school degree is required.
- • Experience in personal care products and/or gift industry strongly preferred.
- • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office particularly MS Word and MS Excel is required.
- • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to communicate
effectively with customers, peers and leadership
- • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a public arena.
- • Demonstrated abilities of resourcefulness, thinking with good judgment,
initiative, and a strong work ethic.
- • Ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously, manage time efficiently,
and work with minimal supervision.
- • Demonstrated experience maintaining good public relations with external
customers and contacts.
- • A passion and interest in organic skincare!
- • An Esthetician License a plus.

- • Scheduling flexibility (weekends and evenings)
- • An interest and background in natural and organic products is a plus
